MANILA — Brazilian beauty Daiana Menezes is now engaged to Jose Benjamin “Benjo” Benaldo, representative of Cagayan de Oro.
Pep.ph was able to squeeze out the truth during “Eat Bulaga!” boss Malou Choa-Fagar's birthday party in Timog, Quezon City, on Nov. 6.
Menezes first said the diamond ring on her finger was just a gift, but eventually admitted she and the congressman are now engaged and recounted how the proposal happened.
Benaldo said he proposed on Sept. 1 under the Eiffel Tower in Paris, where Menezes was shooting a movie at the time, before going to Brazil to meet her family.
Menezes confirmed this, saying, “He's different. He really is. He went to Brazil. He introduced himself to my father.” — SG
