MUMBAI – Sonam Kapoor, who is known more for her classic fashion sense rather than acting skills, is trying hard to make it big in the film industry. Sonam's superstar father Anil Kapoor is also leaving no stone unturned to relaunch his daughter's career after her film “Aishaa,” which he produced, flopped at the box office. According to the Deccan Chronicle, Anil has bought the rights to “Khubsurat,” a Hrishikesh Mukherjee classic of the 80's starring Rekha. Sonam will reportedly start shooting for the remake of “Khubsurat” after the release of “Ranjhaa.”
“Anil's a supportive father. He is absolutely sure that the right script and director will resurrect Sonam's sagging career. So he doesn't mind investing money in bailing his daughter out,” said a source close to Sonam. – SG
