Despite disappointing profits elsewhere, Sony is still wildly popular in Saudi Arabia. Hot on the heels of the release of the Super-Slim PlayStation 3 and the redesigned PlayStation Store, last week there was a Sony Gamer's Day in Riyadh. According to www.stfuandplay.com, the event was halted when over 30,000 gamers came out for the exhibition. Just 10,000 had been expected. It was a free event and with nothing much to do in Riyadh during the school vacation, the company was overwhelmed by the level of interest. If you couldn't be there, see the video of the event at www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJ8UeQYoJkI
