The head of the Madina Plastic Artists Group, Fo'ad Migharbil accused the Ministry of Education of ‘killing' artistic talents, saying schools for the gifted are not permitted to seek out new students and refine their skills. Migharbil told Al-Hayat on the sidelines of the Group's twenty-second exhibition – inaugurated by Al-Jouf's Deputy Emir Abdul Rahman Al-Mofarrij at Prince Abdul Elah Urban Center in the city of Skaka on Wednesday –most teachers are merely employees who lack the ‘noble motive' of teaching students to contribute in the development of the society. He said graduated art teachers ‘cannot draw a line', adding that their weak performance is partly due to the fact that there is no curriculum for art. The exhibition will be on for 10 days and features 16 male and female artists.
