Members of the National Honor Society (NHS) at the American International School of Jeddah (AISJ), held a fundraiser recently to raise money and awareness for cancer research. The premise was simple: Pay SR20 to wear a pink shirt instead of a uniform shirt. Over half of the student body and faculty participated, and with additional donations, the society helped raise over SR14,000 for the Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Al-Amoudi Center of Excellence in Breast Cancer. Urooj Khaled, NHS President and AISJ Senior, said she built upon the ideas of AISJ alumni and school traditions when organizing the event. — Courtesy photo
