One distribution scheme started on Shawwal 25 and ends on the Day of Arafat. A 330ml bottle is given to each pilgrim in this phase. In a second scheme that also began on Shawwal 25, but will end on Muharram 25, 20-liter Zamzam bottles are delivered to pilgrims in their residences. A third scheme begins on Dhul Haj 12 and continues until the end of the season. During this period, over 1.9 million Zamzam bottles will be distributed among pilgrims leaving the country after Haj. The Zamzam Distribution Office has signed up a distribution company, which will use 94 small trucks and 30 large vans to distribute Zamzam bottles to over 5,000 buildings in the holy city. Dr. Abdul Salam Noor Wali, medical director of Al-Noor Specialist Hospital, visited several Makkah hospitals and offered Zamzam bottles to hospitalized pilgrims. He was accompanied by the female staff of the Zamzam distribution office who visited women's wards at hospitals and offered them Zamzam bottles and rosaries.
