FACEBOOK has launched recently a newly redesigned Help Center to make it even easier for users to find the information they need about how Facebook works. The Help Center provides answers to thousands of questions on topics ranging from tagging to timeline to Facebook advertising. Facebook also announced that the Support Dashboard is now available to 100 perent of Facebook users around the world. The new Help Center is a valuable tool for users and is also available to non-users who are looking for more information about Facebook. The Help Center is designed to get people the information they need within just a few clicks. The homepage now features six major topics, based on popular searches, which can include categories such as “See What's New on Facebook" - which links to an overview of the new features and products - and “Learn the Privacy Basics" - which takes users to information about how sharing and control work on Facebook. These topics can be personalized based on how users use Facebook. On the other side, the Support Dashboard is considered as a portal that allows people to track the progress of reports they have made on Facebook. Users can see whether or not their report has been processed by the User Operations team. Once a decision is reached on a report, the user is notified about whether or not action was taken on their report. Erin Egan, Chief Privacy Officer, said: “We are pleased to announce a new, more streamlined design for the Help Center, and the rollout of our Support Dashboard to the international Facebook community. Both of these tools aim to provide the people who use our service with access to the information they need from Facebook as quickly and as efficiently as possible. These resources demonstrate our commitment to transparency and our continued effort to ensure that the people who use Facebook can create the experience that is right for them." – SG
