Three Pakistani students from Saudi Arabia secured top ranks in the Higher Secondary School Certificate second year (HSSC – II) results, the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) of Pakistan announced Wednesday. Sara Ahmed of the Pakistan International School Jeddah (PISJ) was ranked first in humanities with 892 marks out of 1050. Fabaiha Umar of Pakistan International School in Al-Khobar secured third position in humanities group with 887 marks. Sarah Jamil of PISJ secured third position in general science group with 922 marks. Around four to five thousand candidates attended the exam from eight centers. Nearly 500 candidates wrote from Jeddah, the board affairs representative in PISJ said. “Many Universities in Pakistan postponed their aptitude tests and admissions this time and waited for the results to include overseas students,” he said. Previously students faced problems when their results were announced after aptitude test dates in most universities. Earlier overseas students were facing problems because results would be announced after aptitude test dates in most universities. He said this was due to Pakistan not having a central educational board, instead every province has its own board. HSSC - I results are expected on Aug 12, 11 A.M. local time. Results will be published at www.fbise.edu.pk. __
