JEDDAH – The Special Penal Court judge in Riyadh Monday allowed one of the defendants, who is a member of the cell of 29, to sit with his lawyer after he complained that he did not get a chance to consult his lawyer in prison. The judge received the replies of four defendants of the same cell who denied the charges while the Prosecutor General stuck to the contents of the charge sheet presented to the court stressing that they include confessions attested in the court. The judge adjourned the session, which was attended by the lawyer of the five defendants, representatives of the Human Rights Commission and the media. The charges against the five defendants include the involvement in the killing of a security man, terror funding, carrying out terrorist acts, sheltering a number of Al-Qaeda members, renting a house for them in Al-Darb governorate and possessing narcotic tablets.
