PERFECT Food Factory, a company owned by Supreme Foods Processing Company (SFPC), has recently announced the commissioning of its third food production line at Dubai Industrial City (DI), the region's leading manufacturing and logistics destination and a member of TECOM Investments. Part of the Saudi-based Dabbagh Group, Perfect Food is a leading supplier of top-quality Halal beef and poultry products in the Middle East and North African (MENA) markets; the AED100-million DI-based factory is the largest of the three food production units owned and managed by SFPC. Having commenced operations in November 2011 in DI, the latest Perfect Food line is set to produce 100 tonnes of special cuts of raw and cooked poultry per week. This new line, housed in a 10,000 square feet highly-automated specialist facility, will complement the factory's current weekly output of 250 tons of beef and poultry products. Robert Morrison, General Manager of Supreme Foods Processing Company, said: “Since its inception in 1999, SFPC has grown to become one of the region's largest suppliers of top-quality Halal products. Our output from the Dubai Industrial City factory are exported to markets in Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt and Morocco, where we are looking to aggressively expand our footprint. We also expect to cater to new markets such as Lebanon by 2013. The new line is exclusively dedicated to processing chicken portions that are used by international restaurant chains to meet their specific culinary requirements.” Abdullah Belhoul, Managing Director, Dubai Industrial City, said: “Dubai Industrial City's Food and Beverage Zone has served SFPC's need to site its factory in an industrial location that conforms to the highest standards in food hygiene and safety. The expansion of the SFPC facility also bears testimony to the effectiveness of DI's six-zone model. Each zone is sufficiently spaced out and operates with minimal impact on the other, while it is fully integrated into the whole city.” SFPC commands a substantial percentage of the Middle Eastern Halal food service industry, which stood at more than AED 10 billion in 2011. The company is a leading supplier to international fast food outlets, hotels, food retailers, local food distributors and restaurant chains across the Middle East and North African (MENA) region. The company operates another two food production units in Saudi Arabia. All three SFPC factories are British Retail Consortium and ISO 22000 and HACCP accredited, and are committed to the production of healthy, nutritious food conforming to the highest standards of halal food production. – SG
