Batsmen, bowlers shine in RCL T20

RIYADH – Competition between bat and ball is producing thrillers in the PSI T20 Cricket Championship which is organized by Riyadh Cricket League (RCL) here.
While batsmen Kamran, Imran Khan, Yashiq and Zahid Rizvi hit centuries bowlers Hameed, Shafeeque, Ali Ahmed, Adil Khan, Farhan Saeed and Babar Mirza made their presence felt with the ball.
Nab, Indian strikers, Cyberoam, Saudi Jaguar, Bhatkal Warriors, Royal Fighters, Falcons and Super CC won their matches in the Super and Premier tournaments.
In the first match, Nab CC beat Friends Club by 123 runs. Batting first Nab made 264 runs without loss as Kamran made 130 with 11 boundaries and 8 sixes and Imran hammered 123 with 8 boundaries and 7 sixes.
In reply, Friends were all out for 141. Sajid Cheema fought a lonely battle with 54. Waseem made 21. Jameel Khan and Basharat Ali claimed 3 wickets each for 24 and 18 runs.
In the second match, Indian Strikers defeated Konkan Warriors by 8 wickets. Batting first, Konkan made 180-7 through Manzoor 48, Majid 28, Eijaz 32 and Imran 40. Sunil and Tabrez took 2 wickets each for 28 and 23 runs.
In reply, Indian strikers achieved the target in 15.1 overs for the loss of two wickets. Yashiq played an outstanding innings by remaining not out on 105. Junais scored 46.
In the third match, Cyberoam claimed an exciting victory against Maestro by 4 runs. Batting first cyberoam made 190-7 through Adil Khan 64, Atif Aslam 29, Zeeshan 20 and Armman 17. Barkat Hyderi and Saqib Memon took 2 wickets each for 22 and 30 runs.
In reply, Maestro CC began well but fell just short of 4 runs. It scored 187 through Qalander Ahmed 46, Shoaib Shah 31, Saqib Memon 27 and Barkat Hyderi 26. Adil Khan took 3 wickets for 5 runs, while Sameer and Zeeshan claimed 2 wicket each for 36 and 42 runs.
In the fourth match, Falcons beat National CC by 30 runs. Batting first, Falcons made 250. Zahid Rizvi played magnificently and made 106. Nazim Siddiqui also played well to make 73 and Moazzam scored 23. Salman Khan and Ashraf Khan claimed 2 wickets each for 23 and 39 runs.
In reply, National made 220. Eijaz Khan scored 78. He was followed by Salman Khan 34, Adeel Atif 31 and Irfan Akram 20. Zahid Rizvi and Sirajuddin took 2 wickets each for 36 and 26 runs.
In the fifth match, Saudi Jaguar beat Game Pro by 5 wickets. Batting first, Game Pro made 210. Amir scored 59, Dilshad 21, Imtiaz 26 and Sharjeel 31.
Mohammed and Waleed took 2 wickets each for 25 and 33 runs. In reply, Saudi Jaguar achieved the target in the 19th overs for the loss of 5 wickets.
Hayder scored 84, Faisal 21, Danish 19 and Mohammed 21. Surjeet took 2 wickets for 25 runs.
In the sixth match, Super CC defeated Cricket Samarwa by 103 runs, batting first Super CC made 227 runs Nauman 73, Shafiq 43, Zaheer 24, Sajid 28, and Vicky scored 31 runs.Naeem and Hameed boweled well and took 3 wicket each for 48 and 25 runs while Asif took 2-37.
In reply, Cricket Samarwa was all out just for 124. Kashif scored 50 and Abu Bakar 21. Babar Mirza took 4-24, Zaheer 3-21 and Vicky 2-22.
In the seventh match, Bhatkal Warriors beat Cricketers by 63 runs. Batting first, Bhatkal made 246-8, through Fahad 55, Musaddaq 35, Naseef 37, Sameer 42 and Leem 15. Farhan Saeed took 3-46 and Sufyan Saeed 2-24.
In reply, Cricketers made 183 through Waheed 21, Imran 28 and Zeeshan 61. Fahad, Musaddaq and Naseef took one wicket each.
In another match, Royal Fighters won by 23 runs against Riyadh Sports Club.
Batting first, Royal Fighters made 163 while Riyadh Sports Club was resticted to 140-8. Ali Ahmed scored 41 runs and took 3 wickets.
