Ahswak Al-Towaier Okaz/Saudi Gazette MAKKAH — The National Society for Human Rights (NSHR) in Makkah is probing abuse charges leveled by a woman against her spouse.In a complaint lodged with the NSHR, the woman claimed that her husband assaulted her physically many times, expelled her from their house, deprived her custody of her 10 children and threatened to strip her of the Saudi nationality and deport her from the country. The Kaakiyah police station has opened an investigation into the allegations. The woman had produced a video clip that showed her husband maltreating her.Col. Zaki Al-Rehaly, spokesman for Makkah police, said security authorities are looking into the complaint in which the woman claimed that her husband had abused her for more than 20 years.
