The gathering was attended by a number of senior Indian and Saudi medical professionals as well as officials from Ministry of Health. Faiz Ahmed Kidwai, Consul General, and ISMF President Dr. Faisal Shaheen jointly launched the forum's website (www.ismfcgi.org), which aims at becoming the nodal point of the forum's activities. Among other things, the website clearly spells out the nature, program and charter of the forum. It also aims at serving as a one-stop shop for all medical/health related information pertaining to India and Saudi Arabia. The website would be integrated with social media like Facebook and Twitter in the future. Speaking on the occasion, Kidwai, the ISMF patron, and Dr. Shaheen congratulated the forum members over the progress it made in a short period and urged them to do more to promote the bilateral medical ties. During the program, the forum also spelt out its future plans. The forum plans to hold an alternative medicine road show-cum-seminar in association with Nouf Mohammed Marwaai, CEO of Naturopathy Co. Ltd., in November. Addressing the gathering, Marwaai outlined details of the program and said the forum can go a long way in promoting the concept of holistic health and alternative medicine. The forum plans to hold a comprehensive medical seminar in February to highlight contemporary development in the field of medicine and health sciences with the participation leading medical professional from India and Saudi Arabia. The forum also intends to sponsor a field visit for Saudi doctors to leading medical facilities in India in April 2013. Details of it are being worked out – and all interested Saudi doctors are requested to give in their names to ISMF at the earliest. All Indian and Saudi medical professionals are invited to join the forum. They can contact its convener at mobile No. 0555235062 or email [email protected]. — SG
