Molouk Y. Ba-Isa Saudi Gazette Many parents have a Galaxy Tab or an iPad, but they aren't too good about sharing these fun toys with their children. But that's okay, because now there are some great new tablets just for kids. These tablets come with games to play and things to do. They can even teach lots of stuff in fun ways. For kids as young as three years, the InnoTab 2 and the LeapPad 2 are good choices because they're built really tough. The Vtech InnoTab 2 has loads of educational games, fun activities and e-books on a touch-screen tablet. It features a 5-inch LCD screen and a rotating self-portrait camera, microphone and MP3 player. There's also 2GB of onboard memory and an SD memory card slot. LeapFrog's LeapPad 2 also has a five-inch touch screen with a built in microphone but it has two cameras - one in the front and the other in the back. The tablet has 4GB of onboard memory but no SD memory card slot. Both of these kiddy tablets come with preloaded with apps — but the InnoTab 2 has more and the prices of extra apps and cartridges for the InnoTab2 are much lower than the LeapPad2. For kids who are a little older, the Toys R Us Tabeo Tablet, Fuhu Nabi 2 Tablet or the ARNOVA Child Pad are good choices. All of these are seven-inch tablets, running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. They are designed to be sturdy and all three have reasonable technology inside, plus parental controls and loads of apps. The best of the three is the Nabi 2, which is more powerful due to its Tegra 3 processor. It's also pre-loaded with so many books, songs, videos, games and educational apps that it takes a while to even need to buy more. Any of these tablets would make a great gift for a child. In fact, the biggest problem with all of them is that they're filled with tons of fun stuff, meaning parents like to play with them far too much.
