KIEV, Ukraine — Dynamo Kiev says it has fired its coach Yuri Semin, a day after a cup loss to archrival Shakhtar Donetsk. Club spokesman Olexiy Semenenko said Monday that a replacement for Semin will be announced before the team's practice Tuesday. The firing comes a day after Dynamo lost 4-1 to Shakhtar in their Ukraine Cup match. Dynamo also lost by the same score to French club Paris Saint-Germain in their Champions League opener last week. Semin was first appointed coach of Dynamo in 2007, and won the league title in 2009. He then rejoined his old club Lokomotiv Moscow, only to return in 2010. — AP
