CIO summit focuses on role of IT management in operational efficiency

JEDDAH — The two-day “Saudi Arabia CIO Summit 2012” kicks off today (Tuesday) at Hilton Hotel Jeddah, with more than 100 of the most influential information technology experts in the Kingdom participating, including, including Saudi Telecom Co. (STC).
Running under the theme “Driving the Agenda for Business Success”, the hugely popular Summit returns to the region for the second consecutive year and will bring together the region's top CIOs and present first-hand visions and experiences of pioneering thought leaders from the world's premier ICT organizations.
The summit will discuss the latest developments in the Kingdom's information technology industry, the new directions in the telecommunication industry and the effectiveness of collaborative tools, and will focus primarily on the role that IT management can play to enhance the operational efficiency and to identify priorities in IT projects.
The conference will also showcase aspects related to the management of information centers and business continuity, and the data recovery process in the event of a disaster.
