NEWARK, New Jersey — Plenette Pierson had 19 points, eight rebounds and five assists as the New York Liberty beat the Tulsa Shock 91-74 Saturday. Essence Carson had 18 points and and Cappie Pondexter scored 17 as New York (15-19) finished the regular season 9-8 at home. The Liberty will take on Connecticut in the first round of the playoffs. Ivory Latta had 16 points and six rebounds for the Shock (9-24). At Rosemont, Illinois, Courtney Vandersloot scored 20 points to help Chicago Sky hand last-place Washington Mystics its 13th straight loss. Epiphanny Prince added 12 points for the Sky (14-20). — AP
