The Saudi boys' school soccer team is participating in the Danone Nations Cup this year which is currently being held in Warsaw, Poland. The Danone Nations Cup is the largest soccer world cup for kids aged 10 to 12, involving 2.5 million children from 40 countries all over the world. The tournament aims to spread health awareness among the younger generation by encouraging kids to have an active lifestyle and follow in the footsteps of legendary sportsmen, such as the tournament's global sponsor: Zinedine Zidane. Last week, the Saudi school team played against England's team and they beat their counterparts two to zero. Our very own green team will be competing against Portugal and Senegal. The team's coach, Fahad Al-Radaian, is optimistic that they will achieve positive results and will qualify for the final stages of the tournament. The goal behind participating in such global events is to expose young Saudi soccer players to professional players from all over the world, which will have great benefits and improve the outcome of the future of the national Saudi soccer teams. — SG
