MILAN – Hernanes scored two outstanding goals to lead Lazio to a 3-1 win at Chievo Sunday, maintaining a 100 percent record in Serie A after three games. German forward Miroslav Klose was also on target as Lazio, enjoying a superb start under new coach Vladimir Petkovic, won its first three matches of the league season for the first time since 1974. Napoli and titleholder Juventus also have a maximum nine points after both enjoyed 3-1 wins over Parma and Genoa while Sampdoria has a 100 percent record but has only eight points after having one deducted over the Calcioscommesse match-fixing scandal. AS Roma, which produced a masterclass of attacking football as it won 3-1 at Inter Milan in its last game, squandered a 2-0 lead and lost 3-2 at home to Bologna while Udinese also blew a 2-0 goal advantage in a 2-2 draw at Siena. Ciro Immobile gave Genoa the lead against the club which still owns half his contract, and the home side had several chances to double its advantage as Juventus seemed headed for its first league defeat since May, 2011. However, Mirko Vucinic and Kwadwo Asamoah came on in the second half to completely change the game. Emanuele Giaccherini leveled before Vucinic gave Juventus the lead from the penalty spot. Asamoah sealed the result eight minutes from time. Budget-thinned AC Milan was beaten 1-0 by regional rival Atalanta Saturday, a second consecutive home defeat. Atalanta midfielder Luca Cigarini scored with a long shot from the top of the area in the 64th minute after teammate German Denis hit the post midway through the first half. With both Brazil forwards Alexandre Pato and Robinho out injured, Milan struggled to finish and was again whistled off the pitch at the San Siro. Milan also lost 1-0 to Sampdoria in its home opener, but bounced back with a 3-1 win at Bologna, courtesy of a Giampaolo Pazzini hat trick. Overall in the transfer market, Milan took in €63 million ($81 million) and spent just €17.8 million ($23 million). Earlier, Cagliari scored a late equalizer in a 1-1 draw at Palermo. Freiburg rallies to win Former Germany goalkeeper Tim Wiese endured another miserable afternoon when Freiburg came from behind to beat his Hoffenheim side 5-3 in the Bundesliga Sunday. Matthieu Delpierre fired Hoffenheim ahead in the second minute, but poor defending allowed Karim Guede to equalize in the 17th and Max Kruse to put Freiburg in front 10 minutes later. Boris Vukcevic equalized in the 57th, only for Fallou Diagne to beat two defenders to a corner and head beyond the stranded Wiese in the 68th. Takashi Usami pulled Hoffenheim level again with a sharp turn and powerful shot in the 76th, but Wiese failed to deal with another corner allowing Cedric Makiadi a simple tap-in in the 84th. Sebastian Freis rounded the unfortunate goalkeeper to seal the result three minutes later. Wiese has conceded 15 goals in five competitive games for Hoffenheim since his offseason move from Werder Bremen, including four to fourth-tier side Berliner AK in the first round of the German Cup. Hoffenheim's fourth loss in a row across all competitions — its seventh including last season — leaves the side bottom of the Bundesliga and Markus Babbel in danger of being the first coaching casualty of the season. — Agencies
