CAIRO — Egypt's Sports Ministry has delayed the start of the premier league for one month after angry fans stormed the football association's headquarters. The 18-team league will begin now on Oct. 17, association head Amer Hussein said Saturday. He said the delay was to ensure TV broadcasts were set for the matches. He did not cite as a reason the protest on Wednesday by fans of Egypt's most popular team Al-Ahly. They broke into the EFA offices in Cairo, angry that games were resuming despite the failure to bring to justice the perpetrators of the February stadium riot that killed 74 people, mostly Al-Ahly supporters. — AP
