Nearly 1500 graduates rallied in front of the Ministry of Education demanding jobs. Unemployed teaching and special education graduates carrying their certificates wanted to meet with the ministry offcials, early Saturday morning. Al-Hayat reported security guards prevented them from entering. “I graduated from the Teachers' Training College in Riyadh two years ago but still have not found a job,” said Mohsen Abdullah. “The Ministry of Civil Service currently has over 324 education vacancies but they weren't announced.” Another graduate from the Special Education Deparment said, “more than 1900 expatriates occupy jobs in special education.They were supposed to have been terminated as promised under the Saudization program.” He is asking the ministry to replace the expatriates with Saudi teachers.
