Hilal and Al-Nasr will fight it out for the Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Cup after recording precious victories over Al-Ahli and Al-Shabab respectively on Saturday evening. The finalists will cross swords on April 2 at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh. Al-Nasr swept into the final after a 5-4 penalty shootout victory over its home rival Al-Shabab at the Prince Faisal Stadium in Riyadh. Riyadh sides ended the extra time with a 2-2 draw before resorting to penalties. Al-Hilal which holds the record number of titles with seven cups scored an easy 1-0 win over defending champion Al-Ahli at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in Jeddah. Hilal defender Hassan Khirat scored the only goal of the match after the break to seal the win for his side. Cosmin Olariua's men controlled most periods of the game especially in first half which witnessed a complete possession by Al-Hilal. The first real threat for Hilal came 15 minutes after the kickoff when Nawaf Al-Temyat sent a 20-yard free kick to the left side of Abdullah Al-Ma'eouf but the young goalkeeper averted the danger brilliantly conceding a corner. Ahli goalkeeper Al-Ma'eouf who recently moved from Al-Hilal saved his side again three minutes later when Abdul Aziz Al-Khathran blasted the ball from outside the box. Al-Ahli players failed to create any threat on their visitors, thanks to the solid defense led by Brazilian Marcelo Tavares. In the 35th minute, Badr Al-Khrashi of Hilal headed the ball to the right side of Ahli goalkeeper but goal was canceled due to offside. After the break, Hilal players continued their brilliant show. In the 68th minute, defender Hassan Khirat completed Nawaf Al-Temyat's cross to the left side of Al-Ma'eouf to seal the victory for his team. In Riyadh, Al-Shabab captain Saleh Sideeq missed a penalty shot to give the second qualification ticket to Al-Nasr. The shootout was applied to break the 2-2 deadlock. The teams shared four goals during the regulation time. Rayan Bilal put Al-Nasr ahead four minutes after the start and Ali Atif scored the equalizer for Al-Shabab nine minutes alter.
