Jessica SanchezMANILA — Fil-Mexican singer Jessica Sanchez is raising the bar higher for herself by accepting an invitation to perform at the Democratic National Convention on Sept. 5 (US Time) in Charlotte, North Carolina.
After her “Star Spangled Banner" stint at the Memorial Day event in Washington last May and at the NBA Finals' Game 1 between the Miami Heat and the Oklahoma City Thunder in Chesapeake, the “American Idol" season 11 runner-up will showcase her big voice on the 2nd day of the DNC, where US President Barack Obama is set to be re-nominated to run for the presidency, according to mb.com.ph. — Agencies
