LONDON – Tottenham Hotspur was still waiting for a win under new manager Andre Villas-Boas after Robert Snodgrass netted a late but deserved Norwich equalizer in a 1-1 Premier League draw Saturday. Mousa Dembele marked his Tottenham debut following his £15 million move from London rivals Fulham, by coming off the bench to delight the home fans with the opening goal at White Hart Lane but the Canaries fought back. New Norwich manager Chris Hughton had also began the afternoon in search of a first league win following an opening day defeat and a draw the following week. Hughton spent 23 years at Tottenham, first as a player and then as a coach. Spanish striker Michu hit his fourth goal in three league games but Swansea City missed the chance to top the standings after the Welsh side was held 2-2 at home by Sunderland. Everton also lost its perfect record after goals from Shane Long and Gareth McAuley secured a 2-0 victory for West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns. Chelsea, which not in league action this weekend, has a maximum nine points, followed by Swansea and West Brom on seven. Striker Andy Carroll enjoyed a bitter sweet debut for West Ham United after joining on loan from Liverpool, helping set up a first-minute goal in a 3-0 demolition of Fulham before suffering a second-half hamstring injury that could sideline him from England's opening two 2014 World Cup qualifiers. Wigan Athletic twice led at home to Stoke City but had to settle for a 2-2 draw. Dortmund held, Bremen wins Defending Bundesliga champion Borussia Dortmund was held to a 1-1 draw at Nuremberg Saturday, while Werder Bremen beat Hamburger SV 2-0 to win the league's 97th northern derby. Tomas Pekhart scored for Nuremberg in the 31st minute, before Jakub Blaszczykowski equalized in the 40th. Robert Mak might have secured a late winner for Nuremberg but struck the post from a difficult angle with four minutes to go. In Bremen, Aaron Hunt missed a penalty in the first half, but scored another early in the second and then set up Nils Petersen for the second.
