CAIRO — Twitter has set tongues-wagging this week by revealing the value of the Middle East's most prolific celebrity tweeters pages. The new campaign, “How Much is Your Twitter Account Worth”, puts some of the most popular stars pages up for grabs. But, if some one interested in buying the pages belonging to the rich and famous, it will cost a little more than spare change. Egyptian superstar Tamer Hosny grabbed the top-spot with his page commanding an estimated $366, 000. Whilst UAE singer Ahlam's page was also raking it in with a predicted worth of $300,000. No strangers to Twitter rivalry, there was competition between the Arab world's favorite Lebanese singers. MBC.net, reported that Elissa's page was valued at $217,000. This can't have pleased her arch rival Haifa Wehbe whose page trailed behind in sixth place at $139,000. And, Nancy Ajram was sure to be upset with her ranking as she brought up the rear at number 10, at a value of $99,000. — Agencies
