Police have discovered new details in the investigation of an SUV chase. Several SUVs were seen chasing a Ford driven by a 30-year-old man Tuesday night. The man died when his vehicle overturned and caught fire, north of Taif. Police used a tracker to search for evidence in the investigation. The tracker found the tire tracks of the pursuing vehicles. The tracks showed that the pursuit persisted for several kilometers before the car overturned. The Taif Forensic Evidence Unit inspected the scene and car to determine the cause of the fire. Investigators were searching for any signs of gun fire before the vehicle overturned. Forensic teams from Riyadh have been called in to inspect the vehicle. Eyewitnesses reported seeing an off-road vehicle, an SUV and a Nissan Altima pursuing the man's car. They, also said they heard people shouting orders through loudspeakers to the driver to stop before the accident occurred. The man's body is being held at the King Faisal Hospital morgue in Taif.
