JEDDAH — Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs, will leave hospital in a few days after a recent operation, the Royal Court said in a statement late Friday. “As a result of the improving health of Prince Saud. He has come off the breathing apparatus normally used after operations like the one he successfully underwent. God willing, he will leave hospital in the next few days,” said the statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency. Prince Saud was appointed to the post in March 1975 and is the world's longest-serving foreign minister. The Royal Court announced on Aug. 11 that the 72-year-old prince had successfully undergone a minor surgery to remove an intestinal obstruction caused by a previous operation. King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, visited Prince Saud at King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Jeddah on Eid Al-Fitr. The doctors at the hospital had reassured the King about Prince Saud's health. — SG
