RIYADH – The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of Riyadh Region Police arrested a Saudi teenager for his alleged involvement in a seemingly random drive-by shooting that resulted in the death of a citizen. Using a car he had stolen, police said the teenager drove up to a group of passersby in the capital's Al-Sali neighborhood and randomly opened fire using an automatic weapon. Al-Azizia police station received a report from police officers on the gathering of dozens of youth who were performing various illegal stunts including dangerous drifting maneuvers. He was rushed to a nearby government hospital but succumbed to his injuries a short time later. With no leads, the CID formed a highly-experienced team to investigate the shooting and arrest the killer. After talking to several people, detectives narrowed the list of suspects and put out an All Points Bulletin (APB) for one suspect who they wanted to question.
