The King Abdul Aziz Medical City (KAMC) celebrated the success of the KAMC Summer Sports Tournament at the KAMC MC2 Multi-Purpose ground here. The event featured team competition in basketball, volleyball, tennis and badminton. In basketball, Cristopher Payumo topscored with 20 points and powered Bahra All-Stars to a decisive 90-77 victory over Window Boys and set up a clash in the final with the SMS Catering, who steered clear of the Strikers in an 88-77 win in the semis. MVP Payumo continued his shooting spree with 17 points, while Aldrin Dela Virgen and Allan Acosta contributed 15 and 10 points in a close 62-55 victory over the SMS Catering in the final. Aslanie Amerol scored 16 points and Kominie Badroden made 12 points to the losing SMS Catering. In tennis, Diwa Marcelo smashed his way to the Category B crown with an 8-3 victory over Teddy Gamboa. In Category C, Jeff Magallanes grabbed the momentum early in a convincing 8-2 win over Pio Valenzuela, while Benjie Munsayac brought home the Beginners trophy by beating Louven Delos Reyes, 8-5. Philippine Labor Attache Atty. Adam Moussa attended the awarding ceremony along with Romeo Pablo, Khalid Tantawi of Sanyo and Qatar Airways District Sales Manager Hamoud Noamani, who handed a round trip Jeddah-Doha-Cebu ticket to Jennifer Gamboa.
