Several deaths were reported in traffic accidents across the Kingdom. Two died and a third was injured in Abha when two vehicles collided causing one vehicle to split into two. Civil Defense workers cut through twisted metal to rescue the injured person. Sources said the accident was caused by speeding and poorly timed overtaking. Three Saudis died at the spot and a fourth was injured in an accident on Haradh-Al Tuwal Road while returning to the Kingdom from a wedding in Yemen. Their vehicle collided with a truck, which was stopped on the side of the road. Two died in the eastern belt of Bisha city after a car collided with a lamp post. Red Crescent teams reported that the two were killed on impact. Three people were injured when their vehicle caught fire near Al-Khamis Market in Al-Majma'ah. Eyewitness at the scene said the driver and two other people were attempting to put out the fire but they died as a result of severe burns. Four family members died in an accident on Ghathran Road in Al-Aqeeq when a sewage tanker crushed their vehicle.
