TEHRAN – King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, sent Saturday a message to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, inviting him to attend the Extraordinary Islamic Solidarity Conference to be held in Makkah on Ramadan 26-27. The message was delivered by Saudi Ambassador to Iran Mohammed Al-Kilabi during a meeting with the Head of Presidential Office Rahim Mashaie. King Abdullah has called the “extraordinary Islamic solidarity meeting to ensure... unity during this delicate time as the Muslim world faces dangers of fragmentation and sedition.” The Islamic summit is scheduled to discuss pressing issues concerning the Muslim Ummah. However, the Syrian crisis would top the agenda amid mounting international pressure on Damascus. – SG/SPA
