LONDON — Manchester United has agreed to a seven-year shirt sponsorship deal with American car company Chevrolet, which will begin at the start of the 2014-15 season. United's commercial director Richard Arnold said it is a “fantastic, long-term deal for the club” and that Chevrolet “enjoyed the buzz generated by our fanatical support and the sell-out crowds in South Africa, China and Europe” where the club travelled on a pre-season tour. The current United shirt sponsor, Aon, has another two seasons to run with the 19-time league champion in a deal that began in the 2010-11 season. — AP
