(Only) traders will benefit immensely.” Ahmad Aql, a Saudi citizen, said an egg tray, which cost SR11, now costs SR14. He said the SR3 increase could be a problem for low-income families, especially given how important eggs are to the local diet. “No doubt that some greedy traders are behind this hike, which is affecting people's budgets,” he said. “It is high time the concerned authorities monitored prices and held such businessmen accountable,” Aql said.
