TAIF — A joint task force from the Taif Traffic Department, Police and Municipality removed more than 1,500 abandoned cars in a number of neighborhoods in Taif. Some of the cars had been reported stolen and were found completely damaged with many spare parts missing. An official from the municipality said that the cars will be auctioned or sent to junkyards. An official said that some owners deliberately abandon their vehicles when they become too costly to repair.
