Ramadan, the month of immense blessings
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 26 - 07 - 2012

Al Muwarif Academy,
Jeddah. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “Whoever prays during the nights in Ramadan with faith seeking reward from Allah will have his past sins forgiven. And he who passes Lailat Al-Qadr in prayer with faith seeking reward from Allah will have his past sins forgiven." (Bukhari and Muslim).
It is time we look around us, consider our actions and let some of our wealth be given to those who need it. Ramadan teaches everyone, especially students on how to schedule time. A believer is always cautious of his time and responsible for his actions.
Ramadan is a month that puts a believer in a state of trust with Allah. It also teaches us that we are interacting with Allah and not with the people.
Starting from the first night of Ramadan Allah has given us the gift of forgiveness, the doors of heaven are open and we just have to grab this chance. We should seek forgiveness as He is the most merciful and forgiving. Reda Soherwardy

JeddahRamadan is the month of mercy, purification, kindness, and compassion of which all humans are in desperate need of. It's easy for man to fall prey to sins and misdeeds, and get distracted from his goal. Out of Allah's endless favors on mankind, He is The Merciful as He chains the devils in Ramadan, closes the gates of hell fire and opens the doors of paradise. In this blessed month, Allah offers His people abundant opportunities to get back on the straight path, cleansing themselves by seeking forgiveness.
We should repent for our sins and increase our good deeds. Nothing can stand in between the Lord and His slave. It's the best time to make the scales heavier from good deeds. Develop a set of good habits and a firm heart that is not afraid of anyone but Allah. Strengthen oneself to fight the hardships, the evil and the worldly pleasures.
Ramadan gives us an opportunity to please Allah in order to enter Paradise and be an eternal winner.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “If any Muslim comes out of Ramadan without gaining forgiveness and goodness, he is a real loser." (Ibn Hibban and At-Tabarani) May Allah grant us forgiveness, make us steadfast and accept our good deeds. As told to Nisma Rafiq/Saudi Gazette
