GULF Air, the national carrier of Bahrain, has designed distinctive Iftar meals onboard its flights specifically for its Muslim passengers during the holy month of Ramadan. These meals will be served on Gulf Air's evening flights (between 3 and 7 p.m.) across its Middle East network for the entire duration of the holy month ensuring that Muslims can break their fast with the call to Maghreb prayer. "As the airline with the largest network in the Middle East, Gulf Air carries a substantial number of Muslim passengers. We recognize the importance of the holy month of Ramadan and the importance of breaking fast at the right time wherever they are while flying with us. Therefore, we want to ensure that our fasting Muslims on-board a Gulf Air flight can break their fast in the preferred manner with our iftar meals," said Gulf Air Chief Services Officer Marcus Bernhardt. Gulf Air's Iftar meal menu consists of dates, laban, sandwich and fruit salad and will be served in a specially designed box, giving passengers the option to take them when disembarking in case they reach their destinations before Maghreb. Passengers will also have the option to select regular meals during these timings, if they wish, which will be available on all flights throughout the day. – SG
