PORSCHE Centers Saudi Arabia, SAMACO Automotive, posted a significant sale increase in the first half of 2012. The official importer for Porsche cars in Saudi Arabia enjoyed a growth of 214 percent compared to the same period of last year. Until the end of June, the three Porsche Centers in Riyadh, Jeddah and Al-Khobar together delivered 620 models to customer throughout the country compared to 289 units in 2011. Sherein Nassef, General Manager of Porsche Centers in Saudi Arabia, said:" Behind these extremely gratifying figures is a clearly defined strategy: we focus systematically on solid and sustainable growth. We are extremely satisfied with the first half of 2012 results and will do everything to maintain this growth path, in line with our growth strategy. It is very satisfying to see that our investments into new facilities and our focus on staff development are paying off." Porsche's currently most sold model the Cayenne is continuously in high demand among Saudi buyers with sales surging strongly. The team delivered more than three times as many units in the first six months of 2012 (331 percent) compared to the same period last year. Sales of the 911 also enjoyed a high demand by customers with sales going up by 78 percent. The new generation 911 Carrera which had been launched only in February 2012 has clearly been appreciated by buyers thus far. The attractive Panamera line-up posted a jump in deliveries of 25 percent with a strong demand for the six-cylinder engine version. Despite the model already being in its third year, the Panamera is going from strength to strength. The local Porsche representative is also registering a very encouraging order intake for the recently introduced Panamera GTS and Cayenne GTS of which first units will arrive in August. – SG
