Princess Ghada Bint Hamoud Bin Abdul Aziz, Chairperson and Patron-in-Chief of Saudi Cricket Center (SCC) has named Hasan Kabir as the Vice Chairman of SCC and Nadeem Nadwi as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Kabir and Nadwi have been serving SCC as CEO and Development manager respectively. This was announced at an official gathering hosted by Prince Dr. Faisal Bin Mohammad Bin Saud Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Governor of Al-Baha Region, at his palace in Abqiq, where invited delegates from all regional cricket associations of the Kingdom attended. Addressing the delegates, Prince Dr. Faisal expressed his thanks and appreciation to Prince Sultan Bin Fahd, Chairman of The General Presidency of Youth Welfare (GPYW) for his valuable support to the game of cricket. Prince Faisal asked the delegates to work in unison for the progress of the game and take Saudi Arabia to a higher level in the international cricket. He advised the SCC management to work closely with all the regional associations in developing a comprehensive program to enhance the awareness of the game among the Saudi youth and create more opportunities for their participation at domestic and international levels. Nadwi, who is a member of the Development Committee of Asian Cricket Council (ACC) in addition to serving as Asia Affiliate to the ICC since last two years, thanked Prince Dr. Faisal and Princess Ghada for their sincere efforts in promoting the game here. Iftekhar Hussain and Qasim Naqvi, SCC Management and Executive Advisors respectively, were given an additional responsibility to operate and maintain the SCC accounts. Sadequl Islam and Hamid Rana will continue to serve as Administrator Cricket Affairs and Manager Operations respectively. Nadwi presented a new development plan to ensure at least 6 cricket academies and 6 green turf cricket grounds by the end of 2009 to guarantee Saudi Arabia qualify for the Associate Membership of ACC & ICC. He confirmed that SCC has fulfilled 80 percent ICC criteria to be elevated to the associate level. SCC, in its last annual general body meeting in Dammam, elected Abdulaziz Al-Naimi, a prominent Saudi associated with the EPCA, as the Chairman of the newly-formed Executive Council of SCC. The presidents of the regional cricket associations are the other members of the executive council. __
