JEDDAH — 7 Yemeni prisoners escaped Wednesday from Briman prison during a routine medical check up in the prison hospital. Hospital security guards caught five of the convicts. A committee was created to determine how they escaped and who was responsible for the lapse in security. The seven prisoners are members of a gang, and had been arrested for robbery. They had spent nearly two and a half years in prison at the time of their escape.
