Police arrested a gang of four Yemenis for allegedly robbing a 100-year-old-man leaving him tied up in his apartment. The thieves stole his life savings of SR2000. He is currently in a local hospital receiving treatment. This was the second time Ali Mas'oud Yahya Al-Mashnawy was attacked by thieves. He was first attacked on January 29 but this time his savings of SR2000 was stolen. Police said the alleged culprits attempted to break into Al-Mashnawy's apartment but were stopped by a locked door. Instead they waited outside until Al-Mashnawy came out for Fajr (Dawn) prayer where they tied him up in his apartment and took his money. One of his neighbors found him tied up and called the Faifa police. Capt. Ahmed Al-Wad'ani, spokesman of Jizan police, said the old man was rushed to Faifa hospital for injuries caused by the thick ropes tied around his hands and legs. Al-Mashnawy identified his attackers when the police brought them for verification in the hospital. – Okaz __
