Utilitarian, trendy watches carve a niche in Kingdom
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 12 - 07 - 2012

JEDDAH – Saudi Arabia's ongoing economic expansion amid burgeoning local population augurs well for the watch industry - from high-end, luxury watches (defined as timepieces that retail from $2,000) to utilitarian but trendy ones.
And with summer just around the corner, UNLTD. introduced recently its new street-inspired collection of watches - the 20-20 timepiece.
The 20-20 combines mixed materials with clean, bold design and cool technology to deliver a timepiece that's a functional and visual representation of the brand's roots, re-interpreted for the next generation.
Available in five colors matte black and navy, glossy white, red and green this innovative, attention-grabbing timepiece features a lightweight plastic module, with color-matching, ridiculously soft silicon straps.
Four symmetrical pushers frame an oversized, surprisingly light, 50mm case that sits high on the wrist. The innovative module features digital chronograph functionality with dual time, two alarms, a timer and date. It also features a three-second electro-luminescent backlight for the dark times.
Large block letters - UNLTD. - on the strap declare the brand's bold heritage. The finishing touch is the ever-present, rhino logo positioned confidently at 12 o'clock and crowned with the word, "undefeated." Together these logos capture the spirit of this generation without boundaries: undefeated is the attitude, and UNLTD. is the way of life.
"The 20-20 represents a new focus and vision as we introduce UNLTD.'s new street inspired design direction," said Stephen Scholz, Global Brand Director of Marc Ecko and UNLTD. Timepieces.
Marc Ecko recently blogged: "Simple is so hard to do." The 20-20's simple, bold design and cool technology are the perfect package, proving UNLTD. is undefeated on the street.
