This refers to the report “Traffic police launch probe into highway accidents" (July 7). Do the police really need to probe to find out the problems? Just driving on Saudi roads will give them many indicators: Driving too close, too fast; traffic congestions; no forward vision due to blacked-out windows; poorly maintained vehicles; bad signage; use of cellphones while driving; children left to dance around; no enforcement of traffic rules; police setting bad examples by not following their own rules; not using seat belts.
