BLOEMFONTEIN – The Stormers claimed top spot in the South African Super Rugby conference with a dour 13-6 win over the Cheetahs Saturday. In Johannesburg, Elton Jantjies held his nerve to land a late conversion and a penalty as the Lions overcame a fierce second-half fightback from the Melbourne Rebels to win 37-32 in Super 15 rugby Saturday. In Auckland, Auckland Blues beat the Western Force 32-9. In Sydney, the ACT Brumbies moved five points ahead of second-place Queensland in the Australia conference with a 19-15 win over New South Wales. — AP
