Harthi, a Saudi national, accused two agents from Commission for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice of intentionally crashing into his car on a street in Taif. Al-Harthi told traffic officials that the agents were 100 percent responsible for the crash. Al-Harthi said immediately after the crash the two men frisked him and his colleague. The two agents refused to give their full names and statements. They also failed to be present at the Commision office at the time appointed by the traffic police. Al-Harthi is demanding that the police charge the two Commission agents with assault, and that they be taken to court. He said due to the incident, he missed a social occasion in Makkah, and furthermore, that the two agents had made “inappropriate accusations” against him after the collision. – Okaz __
