DAMMAM – The Dammam-based English Language Institute (ELI) run by Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU) recently initiated summer English courses exclusively for kids. ELI's English language learning program is designed for school going children. Not carried out in traditional classroom culture, the program allows children to hone their language skills while enjoying summertime fun. The four-week course is catered to children between the ages of 6 and 10. PMU linguists will apply modern teaching tools to sharpen the English skills of young minds four hours every day. ELI uses modern teaching tools like blackboard, DYNED, movie making, smart board, smart classes and wired classes as part of PMU's language teaching strategies. PMU established ELI in 2007 and since then the institute has offered courses in various disciplines to enhance English language competencies including developing communication skills of executives and professionals, general English communication skills, certificate programs in English teaching, pre-Master's preparation programs and standardized test preparation programs for TOEFL, GMAT, SAT, GRE and IELTS examinations. — SG
