An expatriate gang was apprehended by security authorities in the Dhahrat Liban district of Riyadh for making and selling alcohol. The Commision for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice officials seized 60 barrels of alcohol and several bottles being used for distillation. All the alcohol seized by commission officials was destroyed. Three Bangladeshis, one Sri Lankan and one Indian were arrested for being part of the bootlegging business. The gang was caught when an undercover agent agreed to buy large quantities of alcohol in an undercover sting operation.
