The National Water Company (NWC) will inspect water pipelines in 80,000 homes in various districts of the capital during the current year. The NWC has signed SR40 million contacts with several companies specialized in detecting water leaks. The company is also implementing a project to modernize databases of subscribers of water and sanitation services in the capital at a cost of more than SR9 million. Meanwhile, Abdullah Al-Hussayyen, Minister of Water and Electricity, has signed a number of contracts worth SR573 million to implement several water and sanitation projects in various parts of the Kingdom.
