Lulu Hypermarket opened its much-awaited branch in Riyadh Wednesday, the 4th Lulu in Saudi Arabia, and the 103rd for the Lulu Group. Located in the famous Ibn Sulaiman Commercial Center in the bustling business hub of Batha, this new hypermarket offers over 200,000 sq. ft. of international standard shopping experience to the residents of Riyadh.
On the sidelines of the inaugural ceremony, Yusuffali MA, Managing Director at Lulu Group International LLC, said "it is with immense pride and pleasure that we inaugurate our 103rd outlet here. This momentous occasion is even more special for us since we have just crossed our twentieth year of retailing. Over the last two decades of success and accomplishments, we have earned the reputation of providing our customers with an unparalleled and world-class shopping experience. The Lulu experience of quality and value is for everyone to experience from every corner of Saudi Arabia, and this is our commitment. Our plans for Saudi are quite ambitious and the premise for this is the stable political climate under the wise leadership of King Abdullah, Custodian of Two Holy Mosques, which has propelled the nation on to the fast track of development".
Yusuffali MA also praised the pro-development and liberalized policies which have attracted substantial investments to Saudi Arabia. "In Saudi Arabia, our plans are to bring more and more world-class shopping centers to different regions of country and give customers the feel of the world-class shopping experience at close proximity rather than making them drive long distances," he added.
The sprawling new store offers customers an expansive retail experience and the store's look and feel ensures an uncluttered, luxuriant, and a cosmopolitan shopping environment. Spread over an area of 200,000 sq. ft., Lulu Hypermarket, Batha will serve a complete shopping destination that will cater to the growing consumer demand from fresh vegetables and fruits to hot food, bakery, grocery to high fashion garments ad electronics and home appliances. For the added benefit of the customers this store will also house exclusive counters for jewelry, mobile, perfumes, watches and cosmetics. In addition, and in true tradition of Lulu stores across the Gulf, the new hypermarket will feature the widest choice of world-class brands at the fairest prices and also offers a whole world of shopping with a good selection of brands and products under one roof. Lulu's winning formula of value for money quality shopping will be a matter of delight for the residents of Riyadh who will cherish the pleasurable shopping experience and the economy it offers.
With 3 stores in Riyadh and 1 in Al-Khobar, Lulu has firmly established itself as one of the most preferred retail destination for both locals and the large expatriate community residing here. The chain records a whopping 500,000 plus footfalls every day and is the preferred destination for diverse and multi-ethnic shoppers. The Lulu philosophy has always been "good quality products at affordable prices with best service."
"The response and acceptability we have got from the residents in Saudi Arabia is very encouraging and we will continue with our expansion plan here and will soon announce the details of new projects," Yusuffali added.
