Desi Entertainers tribute women of all nations
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 05 - 06 - 2012

Saudi Gazette Women are the backbone of the society. With this notion in mind, the Desi Entertainers paid tribute to women from all walks of life in an event named “ Ladies Nite–Tribute to the Women of Today.”
Muhammad, organizer of the event said that their concept “Desi Entertainers — Committee for Community” is to introduce people from different cultures to each other, so that they socialize outside their community too. “Our hard work has paid off and we have really succeeded in our project.”
The Desi Entertainers have proved it that despite having a language barrier, women can easily convey their messages through their talent. Muhammad said talent doesn't need any particular language as it has its own approach. Many talented women entertained the gathering with their cultural songs and dances which varied from India to Spain, Philippine to South Africa and Saudi Arabia.
There was also fashion show supported by Mufti Abayas and jewelry displayed by Amrina Jewels.
Apart from glamor and entertainment there was a ladies “bazaar” displaying and selling designer clothes, jewelry, paintings, antiques, homemade products, and others, with of course lots of food stalls offering delicious delicacies.
“I enjoyed a lot at the event and I wish to attend it again,” said a painter and artist Juweriya Khatoon. “I really appreciate the performers and thank the organizers for organizing such a meaningful event,”she added.
“We got the best talented ladies from different countries performing on one stage and this is the very beginning of our success. We promise to bring more new events in a similar way and spread love and respect for all the neighboring countries,” said Muhammad. __
