The Guatemala football federation has confirmed that investigators from FIFA are in the country looking into a possible match-fixing scandal. Reports said the match-fixing involves a game in 2010 in the CONCACAF Champions League, a 6-1 victory for Mexican club Santos Laguna over local club Municipal. Three players were suspended earlier in the week from the national team, with officials citing the reason as “indiscipline” without giving details. They have been identified as Gustavo Cabrera, Yoni Flores and Guillermo Ramirez.
